But hang on. Haven’t New Labour been telling us for years that we have to get used to working in new ways. Britain should not worry about losing it’s engineering and it’s motor industry. We needn’t worry that we have no capacity to build power stations. It is irrelevant that the trains that carry us to work are made by Germans or that our computers are made by China.
